Dear Hope Chest friends,
I have a few random things to share with you this morning. At a glance, they are....
- new stuff on my blog
- National Day of Prayer
- Christian Book coupon code
- New Smyrna Beach condo
- granny nanny in South Carolina?
- college grants for missionary kids?
First, I have put more stuff up on my blog, including links for apologetics web sites, quotes to note, news on Mary's wedding next week, thoughts on marriage in heaven, the WordSpring Discovery Center at Wycliffe Bible Translators, cute things that Melody has said, and more. Check it out at www.VirginiaKnowles.blogspot.com. If you would like, you can subscribe to the blog there, and have it mailed directly to your inbox when I post.Next, the National Day of Prayer is this Thursday, May 1. The theme this year is "Prayer: America's Strength and Shield." Find out more at: http://www.ndptf.org/One of our readers asked if I had a current ChristianBook.com coupon code for 10% off of orders over $35. You can usually find them at this site: http://www.retailmenot.com/view/christianbook.com. This one is good until May 2: 251488WM. You can enter the CBD web site through this link which credits 10% commission to me at no extra charge to you: http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/home?event=AFF&p=1136043. Thanks! My friend Becky Kelly wants to let you know that her New Smyrna (Florida) beach condo is still available at reduced rates for home school and ministry families. Many of you have raved about your time there. Our family has stayed there twice (maybe three times?) and we always enjoy it. Becky writes, "Do you need time alone with God and family? Stay at our New Smyrna Beach home. We have dedicated this place to the Lord to be a time of “Rest & Relaxation” for family getaways. You will pay only $525 for a one-week visit (excluding holidays). Holiday weeks are full price. Call us at 407-321-8313 to set your date and confirm with a $100 refundable deposit, which will be returned after you depart."Hope Chest reader Sharon Lynn Patrick wants to know if any of you lives near North Augusta, South Carolina, who is interested in a part-time job caring for a lady in her 90s. You can contact Sharon directly at [email protected]. Sharon also passed along this quote by Abraham Lincoln: "I am confident that the Almighty has His plans, and will work them out; and whether we see it or not, they will be the best for us."My friend Ken Wells in Italy is wondering if anyone knows of college grants for missionary kids. His son hopes to attend Bryan College this fall on a partial baseball scholarship. Any advice on this would be appreciated. You can contact Ken directly at [email protected]. (Tell him I sent you!)Do pray for us! Mary's wedding is in only nine days, and she graduates from college in three days. Today we are going to try to organize all of her stuff and get her packed to move out! Our other six daughters are shifting bedrooms, and Melody, who turns three in August, is moving out of our room into one with Naomi. Yeah! That's all for now, folks!Blessings,Virginia Knowles-- To subscribe, send ANY message to: [email protected] To unsubscribe, send ANY message to: [email protected] Visit my web site at www.VirginiaKnowles.com
