I finished it! Actually this is a very good book by Max Lucado. It got
dragged out for me because I would read it some and then I would get drawn to
something else and set it aside and then return to it then leave.... I was a
very fickle reader! This is not a "new" book -- Lucado wrote it a number of
years ago -- 1995 I believe -- but it is still very timely! It is based on
the book of John. I read through John first - which I think really enhanced
my reading of A Gentle Thunder. If you have not read this book, do... you
will enjoy it! The title indicated that it talks of listening to God through
the bad times, but there is a lot more there. Lucado really talks about
seeing Jesus -- looking for God -- being aware of Jesus in your life and the
gift that He is. Very good!
