At the age of fourteen and a half, God reached down in mercy and saved
my poor lost soul from an awful pit of sin.I was attending the Bible Missionary Church in Detroit (actually Wayne),
MI. This particular week I attended their revival services.Brother Don Bowman was preaching. Though he was a good preacher
(and still is at the time of this writing), I do not remember what he
preached.
My pastor, Brother Daniel Ewald, invited me to pray at the altar. Though I
am sure his words were appropriate, I do not remember what he said.God Himself spoke to my heart in such tones of love and conviction for
sin, that I could never forget His sweet, unmistakable voice.I responded by kneeling at the altar in prayer with many tears. Though
I know that I repented and gave my heart to Jesus, I do not remember a word
that I prayed on that most blessed night of my life. But, this I KNOW: the Lord God of Heaven and earth took away my load of
sin and shame, forgave me, gave me a brand new life in Christ, and made me a
part of His loving family. I have never been the same since that night; nor
would I ever want to be what I had been before I met Jesus.Yours In Christ,
