by J. Randal MathenyO God, you sit above the highest heights,
Beneath your throne, the dimmer heavenly lights;
Your glory shines to guide our stumbling feet,
Your Spirit makes our joy and peace complete.Incline to look, O Lord, upon my needs,
Reward me for my faith and Christian deeds;
Through sweat of tears, and pierced by Roman spear,
My suffering Savior brought your presence near.Come now from parting skies on billowed cloud,
Let angels blow their golden trumpets loud;
Behold, the Son of Man who vanquished sin!
