“Sinner” is a present-tense description of everyone, including those who have put their faith in Christ. Of course, those who have called Jesus “Lord” are justified, meaning that they are no longer guilty. Also, they have been given the Spirit, which makes them slaves to Christ rather than to sin. But we all are sinners. Perfection awaits eternity.

Here is an outline of my Sunday AM message

"According to Your Faith"
Matthew 9:27-31

  • Interesting to note ... the blind men "followed" Jesus.
  • I believe they speak to us about "walking by faith not sight."
  • Are you going to let a blind man out follow you in your following Jesus?
  • We might ask ... is your "faith" the issue?
  • We should answer ... you better believe it!
  • Jesus put the emphasis where it should be ... "according to YOUR faith let it be to you."
  • It is not a matter of "do you have enough faith?" ... but rather "do you have faith?"

1. Faith to Follow (v.27-28a)
2. Faith to Believe (v.28b)
3. Faith to See (v.30)
