I started the thread. I'd like to clarify and ask about a brand. I am looking for a guitar that is for bluegrass. No way can I go for a Martin. Doubtful i'll be able to go over $400. Catch 22, I know, so don't flame me.
I've been reading that the Blueridge have narrow necks. I'm a big guy with big hands and fingers, that would be a no-no.
A friend I used to work with says his Breedlove is great. I've never seen or heard it (he lives some distance and we email), so what do you think of them?
Also, any other guitar suggestions?
I found that the Silver Creek on MF, is the same as a Johnson "Carolina" and (forget the model #) one by Recording King. It's a house brand name of MF.
