ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT PRAYER REQUESTS

How we did it, we'll never know, but we failed to mention two very important prayer requests.

1. Bob is fighting a very tired voice right now, and after three days of teaching following heavy speaking schedules last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, he is showing signs of more serious problems with hoarseness and congestion. Please pray that his voice will be preserved for this teaching assignment. He has two more days this week, plus six more consecutive days next week starting with Sunday.

2. Space is a mounting problem for IBC and our related ministries. Everytime we try to schedule an extra meeting, we have to look for places to meet. We currently meet in the Central Baptist Church building for Sunday services and our Tuesday English and Bible study programs. However, when it comes to things like last week-end's "Excellence in Leadership" conference or future youth meetings and small group Bible studies, it's another story. Sometimes it takes weeks to locate a suitable place.

As God continues expanding our church planting plans, our student ministries, our youth ministry, and our English program, we're going to find ourselves in even greater need.

In addition, we have significant problems with our sound system at Central Church. It's an excellent system, but the brother who runs it for the church knows very little about how it should be operated effectively. We usually have some type of problem every week.

There are some options available to us. A number of churches have been able to satisfy such needs by renting or buying a large apartment, or by renting or buying existing vacant buildings. However, all of that is extremely costly. You cannot get really good bargains here any longer.

We have been talking and praying about this for months, and it seems the Lord is prodding us to move forward in some way. So, we've been looking at apartments. There is a great disparity in both rental and purchase cost, depending on condition and location.

So, please join us in asking God to reveal His purposes for us in this regard. If we had, for example, access to a five room apartment today, we could have it in "full time" use within two weeks and yet keep our Sunday and Tuesday activities going at Central Church.

We really need to hear what God is saying to us. We find ourselves between the proverbial rock and a hard place. Need is great; size and ability are tiny.

Thanks for joining us in prayer in this matter. If you have any words of wisdom, we'd be glad to hear them. We have every confidence God will reveal His will in His own time and His own way.

And thanks for praying for Bob and his voice.
