advice

Lisa, this is so true.  Her husband was laid off in Texas and they moved here to live on her grandfather's beautiful place.  He has started his own business in web design and had a of connection in Texas so is a little angry about moving here.

I also tried to explain the winters we have up here and milking in a foot of snow, slipping in the ice is not fun each morning.
They had a lot of money from the sale of their house in Texas and she told me her husband was angry because they had spent 30,000 last month. ( 20, 000 was on vechciles - they did need a 4 wheel drive up here)
I have been pondering this and don't you all feel with a strong headed women they that being a Godly Christian wife example is a good way to go?
Maybe slight hints of how I don't wish to be a burden on my husband
etc...?
I must say, this has also encouraged me to be better to my husband in some ways.  Maybe she was sent to me as much as I was sent to her. 😉
I am not speaking harshly of this couple but it just breaks both of ours hearts to see them like this.

In this economy, I don't know of any husbands
that need additional pressures on them. A few chickens provide eggs and one goat
could provide milk if they'll drink it but if she's just getting animals to get
animals, they are going to turn out to be a financial burden. I don't know their
situation, if he's working or not, but if they aren't in unity about the
animals, she should stop.

Buying the animals and spending money on them
and their needs is the easy part. Recovering money and getting rid of animals
when you realize you're in over your head or can't afford feed all winer is
another matter altogether. I learned this lesson the hard way!

Like Marci says, the Bible says she is to
submit to her husband. She can argue her side over and over and wear her husband
down but she'll wish she would have listened to him.
