The Applause AE128 and Washburn DKC20 both arrived well and look and sound great (esp. for "blems). I am considering going all acoustic (actually A/E). I have an electric Epi LP100 and don't really see much future in it. Since I returned to Christ four years or so ago, I no longer want to play blues licks or try metal stuff. A guy at a music store about an hour away says he would take it in trade for an Alvarez RD20 SC (black) he has in stock with me paying about $250. I checked it on MF and the want about $340 for it. Thus, my trade in would be about $90. I'd like to get a bag, and other stuff with it from this guy. They have a good rep for setup and i've known them for a long time (traded drums with them, etc.). This would be better than going the eBay route, ad in the paper, etc. Less hassle anyway. Might be a way to get a really solid piece and be rid of the electric that is pretty
much gathering dust (well, dust on the case). My son plays tuba in high school band, and tried guitar quite a while ago and didn't have the interest. Thus, I doubt he would have any interest in the LP. However, there's lots of metal on those awful xbox 360 games he spends inordinate amounts of time with....and his mom got him some metal cd's so he might want it after it's gone....if so, too late...
I'll hit 50 this Friday and want to have some guitars to take me out of here....even if I can't play much music I at least want to sound good....ha!
