As most of us know, the goal of the list is to discuss FB and related programming topics ( with an occasional foray into general Mac or iPhone topics ) and keep the list free of controversy and non-programming topics.
Also, our group favors email communication and not web forums. Glen, the list administrator, has notified us of a change to web forums in the next few months.
Gaggle mail( which we've used before ) offers an email list option at no charge and we think it's a good one. Gaggle mail has improved its "free" service tier by allowing up to a 1,000 members per group. Also, its service provides the non-controversial atmosphere that welcomes all folks interested in programming and FB.
Because the changes Glen announced don't match our goals and needs, we think this change will be better for all FBers.
Every current subscriber has been sent an email invitation to join the Gaggle email. Please look for it and follow the links to signup.
The Gaggle email discussions have already started and hope you will join!
We appreciate everyone's patience during the transition. Bernie knows more about Gaggle mail but I'm helping as an admin too.
Thank you!
