APPLICATION

If you feel stagnant in your walk
With God, if in your heart the cold
Has chilled your zeal and placed a lock
On faith, if Satan has gained a hold,
There is a way to fire your ardor,
To live in Christ, always aware
Of God. It's not by trying harder,
Nor even spending more time in prayer.
To revive your weary soul, apply
The word of God to self, obey
His every order -- don't ask why,
Just do and trust. Begin today.
This, then, is the golden key
To vibrant faith and fellowship
With God, for when you bow the knee,
His praise erupts upon your lip.
Without holiness none can meet
The Lord; we humbly must submit
And do his will. For heaven's street,
Only he who obeys is fit.
