Are you ready for more winter?

Another clipper went through last night and we got 2-3 inches of snow in SW Wisconsin. Starting later this morning the bottom is going to drop out of the temps again. A high of –8 for tomorrow and –35 to –55 wind chills. Sounds like ut won’t get above zero until Wednesday. I’ve had the Weather Channel on this morning and it looks like freezing rain and ice could go as far south as Florida and New Orleans later this week. Wow.

DH has a load of milk to deliver today in Sterling, Illinois, so I am going with him. He only gets this load about every 4-5 weeks now because they are shipping the milk from another location to this Walmart distribution center. It cut our income by 1/3 when he lost that delivery. Neither one of us are crazy that it’s got to be delivered on Sunday, but we don’t/can’t dictate that schedule. I hope to get some pictures today when we go. The eagles have been coming back to the upper Mississippi where there is some open water near power plants and I love to watch them.

Folks here are really getting stress/depressed/anxious when the cold simply won’t abate. I’m among them. Winter hasn’t bothered me this much before, but it’s really getting wearing. We haven’t even had the worst weather in our area, either. Others have had it so much worse. I have to look at them and remember that we are fortunate to have roofs over our heads, heat that works, etc.
