Baby Benjamin is here!

I just wanted to let you know that Benjamin Peter Knowles was born on
Thursday, February 13 at 2:18 p.m. He weighed in at 8 lbs, 15 oz and is
20 1/2" long. As with many of our other children, he required a
frenulectomy (clipping the connecting tissue under his tongue) to prevent
nursing and speech problems.
All went mercifully well and quick, thanks to prostaglandin gel, pitocin
and an epidural! Labor was under 5 hours (quite a record for me!) and
the delivery was the usual 2 pushes.
We came home from the hospital this afternoon (Saturday), and were
immediately mobbed by all of Benjamin's brothers and sisters wanting to
hold baby brother.
Friends from church and our home school support group are graciously
providing meals. What a blessing!
Thanks for all of your prayers and encouragement along the way.
I'll try to post a picture on our web site soon, but don't know when I'll
get to that.
