I have been called to proclaim the gospel. I excepted the call in 1989. I
was divorced one year later. Many times churches asked me to interview for a
pastorate. I was never selected due to lack of experience or because I was
not married. Almost two years ago My home church voted out the Pastor and
asked me to serve as interim pastor. Some of the members asked me to submit
my resume, which I did. But their was going to be a church squabble, I
withdrew my name. About one month after the new pastor came. Another church
called for me to serve as interim pastor again until they found someone also
with the stipulation that I not try to become pastor. I signed an agreement
and began to work. As the time for hearing ministers came some members asked
me to consider submitting my resume. I did not because I felt inadequate to
serve as pastor because I met none of the qualifications that the people said
they wanted in a pastor. Also because I had not been consistent in my
studies. How do you know if the lord wants you to pastor? HOW do you know
what ministry the lord wants for you? What and how do you prepare for a
pastor role or whatever role the lords wants for you? Help a brother in need
of directions
Please do not post to the Internet because I would not want some in the
community to guess who did write this.
