beef prices

I don't know about the rest of you, but we are seeing a big increase in beef prices in our little town. We had bought ground round, 90% lean, for $2.99/pound in November. This week, it is $5.19/pound! Ground chuck is $4.29/pound and the fatty ground beef is $3.99/pound. Thankfully, we have some in our freezer, and won't be buying any at these prices. Other cuts were high too, but hamburger is what we buy the most and what has risen the most. Lisa NM
