In my mind, the worst sin that any human being could ever, would ever, or has ever committed is very clear. The worst possible sin would be to kill the Son of God. I can’t imagine anything worse than that; it not only embodies murder, but the most hateful, venomous, vicious rejection of God. Yet it is precisely that sin which Jesus demonstrates is forgivable. In Luke 23:34, as He hangs on the cross, He looks down at those who have taken His life, then He looks to the Father and says, “Father, forgive them.” Even killing the Son of God is forgivable. It isn’t the volume of sin that is unforgivable any more than it is the kind of sin.

Bizarre problem

Folks,

I've run into a bizarre computer problem. I have Pentium III 550, 128RAM,
oodles of diskspace, etc.

The system has been stable until this afternoon when it suddenly bombed while I
was emailing: black screen, and off.

Currently, it takes about 30-40 reboots before Windows loads to the point that I
can use this email program. Booting takes a long time, though. When the icons
appear, they are all default, and slowly, one by one, change to individual
icons. Even when it appears everything is fully loaded, it takes another 2 or 3
minutes before I can move the cursor.

I have an up-to-date virus scanner, and use ZoneAlarm. Neither has reported any
problems.

I have not recently installed any new programs or windows updates.

Reinstalling backups of the registry, ini files, etcetera makes no difference.

Scandisk doesn't find anything wrong, whether run in dos, safe or windows mode.

Upon rebooting, if and when it reaches the "desktop screen," the system often
hangs after all the icons are loaded.

Rebooting results in a variety of errors - usually a different one each time.
Often, after scandisk runs upon rebooting, the system stops with the message:

"Windows protection error. You need to reboot."

Two other frequent errors are:

"Fatal exception at 0028:c004E35D in VXD vcache(01) + 00000569"

or

"... at 0028:c000A2F9 in VXD VMM(01) + 000092F9"

If and when I get to the point that I can email (I have a 24/7 cable
connection), that's just about all I can do. Starting another program often
results in the system hanging. That is also the case in safe mode.

Any suggestions?

Keep in mind that I may not see your reply to this message, as the system can
hang at any moment.
