Dear Hope Chest friends,Julia (16) arrived in Bolivia early this morning. She called about 15 minutes ago from Cochabamba, where her team was eating lunch. They will fly to Terija in about two hours, and then take a 50 mile, 4 hour bumpy bus ride to the village of Entre Rios. The flights have gone smoothly so far, but they believe that their luggage did not make it onto the plane from Santa Cruz to Cochabamba as they could see it on the runway when they were taking off. Please pray that their stuff catches up with them quickly! Julia personally has all of her travel documents, money, one change of clothes, medicine, and some snacks and bottled water in her carry on bag -- but the rest of her clothes, toiletries, sleeping bag, tent, work boots, small gifts for the Bolivian children, and "survival food" are with the rest of the luggage! (It's a good thing I insisted that she wear her sneakers instead of her sandals while traveling!) The teams also have huge duffel bags of medical supplies, clothes for the Bolivian people, and construction supplies among the "left behind" luggage.Mary (18 tomorrow) will leave for La Paz, the capital of Bolivia, on Sunday instead of tomorrow. Her team will return on July 6. I have been checking the CNN web site daily for any political news there but haven't found anything in several days. In this case, no news is good news! Pastor Johnny Dueri of Iglesia en La Paz had already reported that the streets were calm there, and it was safe for the team to come, so we are encouraged.Keep praying for my girls!Blessings,Virginia Knowles-- To subscribe, send ANY message to: [email protected] To unsubscribe, send ANY message to: [email protected] Visit my web site at www://thehopechest.net
