if you are doing cae prevention.... the babies cannot be allowed to
nurse.... not at all... snatch and clean babies off, and separate
immediately... milk momma out, and heat treat colostrum, see marci's
directions below....then let it cool to warm before feeding to babies...
when pasteurizing milk (it usually is milk by the 2nd or 3rd day.... ) you
must bring it to 165, **hold it there for 5 minutes....** some people do 10
minutes, then cool quickly.... we use a presto cooker(fry daddy), like a
double boiler... it holds the temps really well, and is about $20 at
walmart, as opposed to a very expensive pasteurizer... only by His grace -
