Cauliflower

Hello,

I just harvested my first cauliflower from our garden tonight...I am
wondering if I picked it too late or something??
It has little purplish/brown spots all over (it is a snowball white kind,
supposed to be) It doesn't look like bugs, but
growing right out of the top. It hasn't flowered or gone to seed yet.
Anyone have an idea if this is still good to eat? Or should I feed it to
the chickens??

I put it in the fridge, I'll wait to hear if anyone knows if it is still
edible!
