I've never made a fortune, and it's probably too late now.
But I don't worry about that much, I'm happy anyhow.
And as I go along life's way,
I'm reaping better than I sowed.
I'm drinking from my saucer,
'Cause my cup has overflowed.
Haven't got a lot of riches,
and sometimes the going's tough.
But I've got loving ones all around me,
and that makes me rich enough.
I thank God for his blessings,
and the mercies He's bestowed.

I remember times when things went wrong,
My faith wore somewhat thin.
But all at once the dark clouds broke,
and the sun peeped through again.
So Lord, help me not to gripe,
about the tough rows I have hoed.

If God gives me strength and courage,
When the way grows steep and rough.
I'll not ask for other blessings,
I'm already blessed enough.
And may I never be too busy,
to help others bear their loads.
Then I'll keep drinking from my saucer,

When I think of how many people
in this world have it worse than I do.
I realize just how lucky most of us really are.

Monday Morning Minutes, Oh Lord...
Time eludes me everyday,
As I go my busy way.
Time is here for me to use,
I pray that 'it' I won't abuse.
Time is mine - Divine from You,
Oh Lord, please tell me what to do.
Time is mine - for prayer and rest,
Along with work or music fest.
Seconds speed to hours fast,
Speedily the time gets passed.
So, it's wise for me to share

Thank You, Lord, for minutes here,
So comforting to have You near.

What can I say to a friend like you
to thank you for all that you've done?
You've been beside me through the good and the bad.
You've given me rainbows and sun.

faithful and sweet.
You lift me when I'm feeling down.
You're a gift from the angels in Heaven,

You make life good just being around.
So what do I say to somebody like you
to tell you just what's on my mind?

One summer, a drought threatened the crop in a small town.
On a hot and dry Sunday, the village parson told his
congregation, "There isn't anything that will save us except to
pray for rain. Go home, pray, believe, and come back next
Sunday ready to thank God for sending rain."
The people did as they were told and returned to church the
following Sunday. But as soon as the parson saw them, he
was furious.
"We can't worship today. You do not yet believe," he said.
"But," they protested, "we prayed, and we do believe."
"Believe?" he responded. "Then where are your umbrellas?"

A church congregation decided to have four separate
worship services each Sunday.
There was one section for those people who were
new to the faith, another for regular members who
preferred the more traditional worship service,
one for those who'd lost their faith and wanted to
get it back, and a separate service for those who had
had some unsuccessful experiences with other churches
and had some complaints.
The four divisions are named
Finders, Keepers, Losers, Weepers.
