Even when he is not speaking, he is not truly listening. He is simply shaping what he will say next. His next volley in the conversation is not returning the ball you served, but serving a new ball.

A friend of mine asked me to teach her daughter electric bass. Can anybody suggest a beginner bass book I could use.

She is a beginner but has played clarinet, piano, and guitar so she ready music. Looking for something to get her familiar with the notes. I have a ton of advance material, but when I starte in 1975 it was Carol Kaye and Simadl and know there is a lot more material out there now 🙂
