I have some chickens that are about 8 weeks old. I would like to get some baby chicks but I am worried about introducing younger chicks with the others. I have heard this can sometimes be a problem, that the older ones will kill the younger ones. Is this the case and can you do something to remedy the situation? We have just got started with chickens again and have never introduced baby chicks into a flock unless a hen had laid them and in that case, she always protected the babies. I would really like to get some more for butchering.
