2 PUs, 1 V/T controls

Yep.

Simple wiring job. You'd have less variety than you're used to in terms of knobs, because stacked knobs aren't that common on guitars. Still, given the number of basses with concentric knobs for active EQ, you'll have at least a few types to choose from.

I've never had to source out replacement pots for an instrument with concentric controls, so I can't tell you where to get them. Try the usual culprits- Allparts, Stew-Mac, Digi-Key, etc.

Make sure that at least one of the two control sections has an audio taper, though. Volume controls with a linear taper are useless for the type of fine volume control that guitarists want. You can generally tell about taper by the part number. Audio taper part numbers generally end in "A".

Just curious, not actually planning on buying anything for a while (need to pay some stuff off first), but... guitars with two pick-ups, but only one volume and tone control... like the PRS SE custom... would it be possible to install stacked pots and give each PU its own V/T?
