Cool effect ideas for worship

I used flanged harmonics in a very old-fashioned song a couple of weeks ago.
That came off very nicely.
I've also used short, choppy echos to make staccato parts even more
staccato. I was trying to get a "chicken pickin'" type sound one day using
a compressor, but I wound up evening out my dynamics instead. It sounded
nice.
