fishman piezo bridge

Posted by: klsluder <klsluder@...>

I am interested in knowing more about this as well. I use a Peavey middle
of the road piezo acoustic at church. It sounds pretty good plugged direct
but there are times I would rather be playing an electric. My electric (an
intro level Washburn w/ after market Carvin pickups - sounds good and plays
great. I run it into a J-Station then into the house) needs frets replaced.
I don't know how to do it and I hate to put more money into it. Thinking
this year might be the year for a "real" guitar. I have been interested in
Parker guitars because of the electric and acoustic nature of them. Thought
about an American Strat with a
Fishman bridge. After buying the bridge and paying for the installation I
am not sure it would be less expensive than getting the Nite Fly to start
with. Hope to make it to Guitar Center (75 miles away) in a couple months
and try them out. We have a pretty decent PA at church to run the acoustic
pickup direct. The reviews are favorable. It probably comes down to either
you like the sound of a piezo or you don't.

Peace
Kevin

Does anyone have any experience with the fishman piezo (or other brand)
bridges for strats and teles?
