Guitar Tone Setting

Try up, middle and down and see what sounds you like. Highs give it twang, which I use to bring out the sound more in a band setting when I use a bit of distortion. Lows give you smoothness. When clean, it makes a jazz quality, whereas highs make a more country or funky sound.---------- Original Message ----------

I thought I'd throw out a question I've recently been thinking about.
All the electric guitars I've had, have had 1 volume pot and 1 tone pot.
I've always just turned the tone pot up all the way, and many of the
guitar players I know do the same. Is there any value in having it set
differently?Just wondering
