I guess I should add what I think is being played and maybe someone can
take it from there. Rather than trying to use tab I will list the string
followed by the fret. D-4 means D string at the 4th fret.

In the pre-chorus using slight mute for the F# something like D-4 G-3
G-4 G-3 D-4 G-3 G-4 G-3. For the G#m, D-6 G-4 G-6 G-4 D-6 G-4 G-6 G-4.
It doesn't sound quite right to me but maybe I am close?
