more tube questions

"On musiciansfriend.com when ordering a groove tube you have to select a
"hardness." I look on the groove tube web site and can't find a
description of this anywhere. Anyone have any idea of what this means."

I'm not exactly sure why the web site called it "hardness", but I do know
that Groove Tubes assigns numbers to their tubes based on certain
electronic specifications. These numbers, in the real world, equate to
different tones. If I'm correct, the lower numbers are going to be more
"mellow" in tone, while the higher number are going to be "hotter" in
tone. I could have my numbers backwards, but I believe that's how it
goes. The web site could be looking at it as "softer" or "harder" in
tone instead of the terms that I've used.

You could probably contact the musiciansfriend.com web site and ask them.
