SoapBar & Digitech RP500 - first use report

I have a coil tap on my Parker and occasionally use the p'ups single
coil so I don't understand this one either. Our bass player also uses
the same model digitech rp200 I have for home recording. He has never
had this trouble either. SO I am wondering if the 500 has a pickup
emulation mode that needs turned off. If it is set to single coil you
may be multiplying the noise. Another thought I mentioned earlier is
presets designed at home almost always have to be toned way down at
church. It may sound great through an amp or headphones but gets nasty
in a hurry through house speakers.Peace
