Using Keyboard Amps with Electric Guitar

I've had a old Peavey Bandit 75 amp that I have been using with a Boss
GT-8 pedal and was never really happy with the sound. I've tried some
friends Fender Blues and another's Ampeg and still felt the amps were
adding some unwanted effect.
This past week, I plugged into a Roland KC-60 keyboard amp and loved it
- nice and clean along the whole spectrum. I also tried it with my
acoustic and it sounded great.
I was just wondering if anyone has had experiences with using keyboard
amps on their electric axes, and maybe could offer any pros and cons
with this setup. I am thinking about going the keyboard amp route, but
don't want to get stuck in a hole I wasn't anticipating.
I've also heard that acoustic guitar amps and keyboard amps have almost
identical electronics architecture, so any feedback on using those with
electric guitar would be great too.
