Christmas Adventure - Immanuel

Happy New Year Everybody,On the Saturday before Christmas, I ran the Immanuel adventure for the
Akron Group, plus a couple of people. I believe we all had a good time,
even had a one-person angel choir (not me). I added a little more
background material, and had two groups of shepherds and Jack. He was
alone on one hill while the other two groups were on two others. After the angel appeared, the shepherds were not so much sore afraid as
"What do we do with the sheep?" One group was going to leave a shepherd
with the sheep, until a booming voice told them all to go.After helping the drunk and getting a couple of black eyes, they found
the wrong baby. Many party goers were in the streets, getting in the
way. But, true to history, the shepherds found the baby Jesus and
worshipped Him.We then talked about how it would have been to watch Jesus grow up, and
cleared up some of the false notions about the Nativity (three wise men
et al ).All in all, I would recommend Immanuel to all, no matter what time of the
year you can play it.Joe
