clothing

Hi, here is my two cents for what it is worth. It says in the Bible that we
are not to cause others to sin...in wearing certain apparel we cause others
to sin. That is not an opinion..that is a fact. It says in the Bible that
women should be adorned in modesty....tight jeans and a tube top or a
bikini, hip huggers.etc.. are not modest..that is a fact too. A true
Christian would do nothing to cause others to stumble...at least not
purposely, and what we put on is a choice and it is on purpose. I was in a
Christian bookstore today and looked at the cd covers, I thought it was
discusting....what do they want us to see? Leather pants...hmmm, they were
tight, they were shiny, they attracted the eye, does it not say that we are
not to cause others to stumble? Come on singing woman...are you praising the
Lord or praising yourself? As a Christian, I will not dress as the world
deems acceptable. I will not choose the hip huggers and the tight shirts...

Blessings to all, Julie

But what sort of clothing can you wear that will determine whether or
not you
look like a Christian? I don't know where in the Bible it says that they
will
know us by what we wear. I have been asked several times if I am a
Christian.
I was always impressed they could tell I was and felt my spirit and my
actions were showing the Lord inside me. I like hte Christian Rock bands
and
I can tell the difference in what their music says and the way the live.
Even
those who have claimed to be Christians in the gospel music catagory are
not
always livign their lives as they should. I suppose in those terms, that
is
why we are not to look at man, but at Jesus. And just because a person
may
dress a certain way I am not able to tell what their relationship with
the
Lord is. That is between them and God (:

Come to Me, all you who labor and are
heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon
you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
