Club update

Ok ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, dwarves and elves, and those of you who aren't sure.... as promised here is an update on the DR club we run at our local high school. Though I will not divulge all the details (like the interchanges at the black smith's and such) I will hopefully peek your interest. (Bare with me, this is 6 weeks worth of gaming here)

As some of you may remember, there are 4 solid PCs, two that do not attend church at all, one that does attend a church, but shows no signs of a personal commitment to Christ, and one who is grounded in Christ. All are playing Once Borns on a spiritual journy to discovering Christ. They all answered the "Call of Abram" and are learning to work together.

They have all been lead by the glowing / firey letters O L M N to this town in the upper interior lands where the "local militia" is feared and never talked about
openly. As they were pondering where to go in the local inn, they heard a crash out side. The street was lined with vender carts as usual, except one cart was turned over completely. It appeared a goblin had been thrown into it. As the crowd gathered, and our adventures investigated, a Hatered of Evil check took one PC over the edge and he shot an arrow from the door way of the inn right into the goblin, who ended up tumbling over and behind the cart. Another extremely curious PC ran behind the cart and shot the goblin in the chest with her cross bow.

A bounty hunter started yelling at her, claiming the goblin was his bounty and she was not going to take it. Then he cut off the head of the goblin and started walking out of town. The first PC, David, grabbed the goblin by the ankle to take it out of town but was intercepted by the local militia. The three imposing militia demanded that David
follow them and bring the goblin. He immediately followed. Then the crowd started to point out the other shooter, PC #2 named Dia. She ran back inside to get the other two who were stunned with disbelief.

The three PCs now had to follow the trail of goblin blood to go after David. David was led down a long dead end ally and into a door at the end. (The militia's guild) He leared that it was the militia who placed the bounty on the goblins head. The goblin was part of a very large gang that raided the area. Now they would be looking for him. David was blind folded and led through a long series of tunnels to the woods out side. Then intructed to "never return, or the Militia would kill him for attempting to steal the bounty".

Meanwhile the trio of PCs found the door and started pounding on it, to no avail. (One PC had a wordrune, but forgot to use
it.) An angel, disquised as a homeless 10 year old boy, led them away from the door with a grave warning and eventually they made there way back to the main road. Once there they tried to converse with the locals to gather more information, but it back fired and the crowd started chasing them. They ran out of town and into the woods to seek shelter.

With the help of another NPC, who was sent to intercept them and inform them of the pending danger,they eventually made it to camp and back on the path to the LiberatedLands. They have all been given anthor piece of the SacredScrolls, "Study to show yourself approved..." Now all 5 are preparing to leave the camp.

Through all this, they realize the need to memorized the WRs given, pray and start to work as a team better. The different personalities involved is awesome, because they don't even get along all that well in school.
But DR is bringing them together and teaching them the value of differences.

They obviously can not enter the LiberatedLands until they are TwiceBorn, but I see that coming in the future, and they will enter together. NPCs will come and go, and the challenges will continue to teach them the scriptures and how it relates to their real lives. I'm so excited.

I will try to keep the updates a bit more frequent, so they are not so long. Keep the faith!
