Comdex

Vegas, Nevada (a really horrid city, IMHO) to attend the Comdex
convention. I'm able to go because, due to either a fluke or Divine
assistance. My finances are pretty tight, and I won't have to pay for
lodging -- which is VERY expensive during this (hotel rates at least
double, flights are booked a year in advance, etc.), the largest convention
in a city with large conventions.
For those of you who don't know what Comdex is, it's sort of like the
world's largest trade show for all computer geekdom. Just about every
company that has anything to do with anything computer will have a
booth. I've also been invited to some shindigs by a couple of my
suppliers. This will be a great opportunity for me to hone my knowledge of
things to come, as most of the vendors bring things in either alpha or
beta, and will discuss what's on the forefront of their particular piece of

I do believe that Steve Hewett, the Editor-in-Chief of Christian Computing
Magazine, will also be there. I'm hoping we can meet face-to-face.
