One of the quickest ways for a pastor to raise needless questions about his integrity, to become burdened with things unnecessary, and to be tempted to treat members with partiality is to become involved in the church’s finances. Though the elders are ultimately responsible, the day-to-day affairs are best left to the deacons.

COMING to SOUTH AFRICA

My friends, it looks very much that I will be ministering in South
Africa at the beginning of February next year (2009). If there are
any groups in South Africa who may be interested in having me
minister, then please reply to this email and let me know.

I am scheduled to preach in Pretoria, but I am also very drawn to
the Polokwane area to the North - and really anywhere in South
Africa. Please reply if you have any interest in my Feb visit there.
