If the Spirit of God is at work in your life, nothing will stop you from making this commitment. You have nothing to fear in telling someone that. You have nothing to fear in saying to someone, “I want you to think about this, I want you to consider the cost carefully.” You have nothing to fear. What you're doing is stopping people from superficial, non-saving delusion. You're backing them off and saying, let's find out whether this is really the work of the Spirit of God and what is happening in your life is not a momentary, emotional thing, but what is happening in your life is the true, regenerating work of the Holy Spirit producing an unrelenting repentance and an undying faith that will go through every barrier. You do all the important things in life by calculating carefully. This is the most important thing you'll ever do.

(Thanks to Rhonda Beachy for sending this in!)  As a reminder, if you want your order by Christmas, do it now and use 2nd day air.  Please be sure to check out the bargain page.  They have a book called 20th Century People Who Shaped the Church for 49 cents.  I ordered it last time, loved it, gave my copy away to a friend, and ordered 8 more.  They also have a great selection of classical music CDs for 99 cents, and if you still use audio cassettes, you can get many of them for 10 cents each.
 
If you tried downloading the free materials from Jill Novak and received a notice saying it had expired, there has been a small glitch in the computer software.   Jill says you can e-mail her at [email protected] and request whatever you are interested in -- an issue of Girlhood Home Companion, a back issue, and/or a copy of her newsletter.  Please do NOT use the links I sent you before, or it will approve an additional download to be sent to MY address!  (I've gotten about 30 of these!)
