The Cross: the Crucial Crux of Christianity
Rom 5:10 & Phil 3:10 & 1 Cor 2:2
1. The Cross showed the power of God to forgive sins, which should also
influence us to forgive others (Heb 9:22, Matt 26:28, Col 3:13)
2. The Cross exhibited what should be our attitude toward sin (Rom 1:18,
1 Pt 2:24)
3. The Cross demonstrated how we should love each other (1 Jn 4:11, Jn
14:34)
4. The Cross revealed the sacrificial service we should give to others (1
Jn 3:16)
5. The Cross displayed the reverential fear we should show God (Heb 5:7)
6. The Cross made known the price we should be willing to pay for
obedience (Heb 5:8, Phil. 2:5-8)
7. The Cross is God's basis for unity (Eph 2:16)
