Dana's Valley by Janette Oke & Laurel Oke Logan is great! Now let me quickly say that it is NOTHING like a typical Janette Oke book!
Not that that is bad! I have read most everything Oke has written. This book reminds me a lot of the Seasons series from Beverly LaHaye and
Terri Blackstock.I can tell you very little without giving too much away.
Basically this book covers the life of a family -- a typical Christian family
who go through the ups and downs of life. Tragedy occurs and the family goes
through a long dark valley. This is a look at how we choose to walk through
that valley and the effect it has on those around us. It is a book about
seeing God in the valley. It is not a light, happy-go-lucky book. It is sad
at times and a bit heavy-hearted, but it isn't really sad. It is more
poignant.I read it straight through -- it was that gripping to me.
It is one for your "to read" list!
