Debra I just had a thought. If you do want to can some of those apples into
applesauce, how about calling the local extension agent and tell them of
your situation. Often times elderly folks call the extension offices to
tell them they have a bunch of free jars just for the asking. It wouldn't
hurt to give a call?...Deanna
