The school I graduated from is having a ribbon-cutting ceremony
for their new performing arts center tomorrow. It’s being named
after a classmate. Several of us are getting together.

It was a Dark and Stormy Night
It was a dark and stormy night, with much lightning and thunder.
A daddy, concerned that his young daughter might need comfort
during the storm, tiptoed to her bedroom door. He quietly opened
her door to her pitch-black room.
Just then, a blinding lightning bolt hit close by. He saw his daughter
silhouetted at the window. And then the thunder clap literally shook
the house.
But just then, he heard his daughter shout out, "Way to go, God!
Do it again!"

Counting
Recently while we were eating lunch after church one Sunday,
my youngest son asked me what the highest number I had ever
counted up to was.
I said I didn't know. Then I asked him how high he had
counted.
"5,372," came the prompt reply.
"Oh," I said. "Why did you stop there?""The sermon was over."
