Today's Chuckles
1. Lawyer's Prayer
2. Prospective Bride
------------------------------
Lawyer's Prayer
“We respectively request, and entreat, that due and
adequate provisions be made this day and the date
hereinafter subscribed, for the organizing of such
methods and allocations and distributions as may be
deemed necessary to properly assure the reception by
and for said petitioner of such quantities of baked
cereal products as shall, in the judgment of the
Provider, constitute a sufficient supply thereof.”
Interpretation: “Give us this day our daily bread.”
- from Bro. Jack (via Da Mouse Tracks)

Time in prayer is never wasted. It is an investment in
the future. - Bob Perks
------------------------------
Prospective Bride
A young man went to the father of his prospective
bride to ask for her hand in marriage.
He was determined to impress the man by quoting
Scripture. He chose Proverbs 18:22, "He who finds
a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from
the Lord."
He quickly became unnerved, however, when the father
quoted Scripture back to him: "So then, he that
giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth
her not in marriage doeth better." (1 Corinthians 7:38)
Ever the quick thinker and never at a loss for words,
he retorted, "Yes, but Paul had no wife and Solomon
had 700. Therefore I believe Solomon to be the better
judge of marriage."
He got his girl.
