DR Musical

May the Swift Sure Hand make straight your paths! Now about the
musical:
It is called "The Kingdom and the OverLord" and is based on the
first two or three adventures of DR. The story is basically this: An
elder Firedrake dragon named Phobion (Greek for fear) has polluted the
waters of the Great Northern River with a despair potion. Each of the
LightRaiders in the play receives a letter instructing them to go to the
cottage of Dariel the Aged, an old LightRaider, and he will tell them of
the quest they are to undertake.
Dariel tells them to take a potion called "The Elixir of Hope" to
the source of the Great Northern River and pour it in, thus neutralizing
the despair potion. Of course, along the way, they meet orcs, goblins, a
troll, and lastly the dragon. He gives them gifts, including his own
shield and a golden dagger.
There are small ones, older ones, some with disabilities, but
each of them in turn has a special task. Along the way, they rescue a
Dragonslave named Oriel, who has a relationship with them that none of
them knows at the time. Gareth is the cocky, obnoxious one. Zoelion
tries to keep things together, Felicia is the practical one, and Melissa
is the beautiful one with quiet strength. There are several others. One
is enchanted by the troll, and is later restored to the group. During
the battle with the dragon, several are killed, including Gareth, who
finally finishes off the dragon. The fallen LR's go to heaven and meet
Dariel, who had since died. The others have a memorial service for their
fallen comrades, and both groups sing the finale together for Da Beeg
Finish. That's about it. If you want a copy, I can send you one that is
printed, or on disk, if you have or can get to a computer with MS Works
for Windows (for the script) and Finale 3.5 or higher (for the music).
