The Kamp is designed to gather musicians of all levels from around the
globe with common goals- learning, playing, eating and sleeping music.
Whether you are a beginner's beginner or a seasoned professional, each
camp's classes and activities will inspire and challenge you. Our intent
is to maintain a non-competitive, learning atmosphere that will
encourage you to grow musically and seek out new ways of flatpicking the
guitar.

The Flatpicking Instructor Team for 2003 consists of Mark Cosgrove, Adam
Granger, Slavik Hanslik, Mike Kaufman, Steve Kaufman, Robin Kessinger,
Marcy Marxer, Chris Newman, Robert Shafer with guests Rob Bulkley and
Curtis Jones.

The cost for Flatpicking Kamp is covered by the scholarship. This
includes all classes, concerts, workshops, meals, and housing. You are
responsible for transportation costs to and from Maryville, TN.

The kamp facilities are on the grounds of the spacious, scenic and
historic Maryville College in the foothills of the Great Smoky
Mountains. The Campus facilities includes dormitories, cafeteria,
concert hall, classrooms, workout facility, chapel, snack bar and "The
Kamp General Store". The sleeping quarters will be in the College
dormitories. There are two beds per room with communal baths. Three
healthy meals will be served daily in a large, buffet style dining hall.
The meals accommodate all tastes including vegetarian.

Family members may attend for an additional fee. This family member fee
covers the evening concerts and room and board only. The scholarship
does not cover the additional fee.
