I lost my license as you well know and have been going around and around trying to get another duplicate. Well, today I went into the DMV along with my german birth certificate, english translation, temporary issue license from last time and social security card. Birth certificate is fine...but because the english translation is NOT notarized....I have to get my birth certificate retranslated and notarized the same day. So we are scrambling to find someone to translate German and then get the translation notarized. The DMV wants the original copy of the english translation (unnotarized), birth certificate and new translation with notarization. I'm at my wits end!! My Welfare caseworker is going to help me all she can. I cannot afford the 135 dollar fee for getting my naturalization papers. I'm frustrated and kind of feeling a bit down and disappointed because I've been working on this all month and keep running into brick walls.Vaughnde Edwards
