Normally I will not send prayer requests to my Shoulder To Shoulder list;
however, this special one from our friend, Tonette Kellett, who is a
missionary in Kenya, was one I felt prompted to share with you.

Just got back from the seminar we were attending and wanted to share
this urgent prayer need. The 2 year old daughter of a couple, Mark and
Cara Phillips, who are two year volunteers teaching at Nyeri Baptist
High School, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia today. Her
platelet count dropped dangerously low and she wasn't able to leave for
the States last night. Seven fellow missionaries donated blood this
morning and they were able to give her platelets this afternoon and are
scheduled to fly out tonight. A pediatric oncologist will be waiting at
the airport in Dallas where she will be taken directily to the hospital
there. Please pray for her temperature to stay down during the flight
as well as any other complications occuring. The Lord has been working
His miracles this side and in Dallas as far as arrangements. We are
praying for smoothness as far as the flight. Cara's mom and dad are
fellow missionaries here-Vance and Cherry Kirkpatrick. Cherry will be
flying with Cara, Mark, Laurynn (the 2 year old) and Katelyn who is 4
years. I know you know what all of this means for the family. Would
you please ask others to pray for them.
