Today as I was vacuuming I saw something golden on the floor, upon
closer inspection I found that it was one of my opal earings that my
husband had bought for me when we were first married. The only piece of
jewelry I have from him. I don't even have a wedding ring as it was
pawned 8 years ago during a time when my husband was drinking heavily.
He lost the tickets and we could never get my ring back. So these
earrings were the only piece of jewelry that I had from my husband. And
right now anything I have from him means a lot.
Well, the opal is missing, it is mangled. When I questioned my daughter
(whom was a tendency to go through my jewelry box) she brought down the
box and the other is missing totally. As well as most of my other
jewelry. Apparently she has been playing with my jewelry and not putting
back so much of it is missing. But all that I can live without. My
earrings were the only thing I had from my hubby (not much on jewelry
giving.so they meant a lot).
I am a emotional mess now.
