As many of you know, for the past few years, our Learner's Journal lesson planner proceeds have funded Chichewa language Bible and tract distribution for Pastor Headson Makazinga in Malawi. In his latest letter to me, Pastor Makazinga reported that the group of village churches he oversees will convene for an Easter Conference at the end of March. Lots of widows and orphans will attend. I won't be printing a batch of Learner's Journals any time soon, but I would like to send some money over to help out with this. So, I just ordered a small print run of my books Common Sense Excellence: Faith-Filled Home Education for Preschool to 5th Grade and The Real Life Home School Mom. Profits from any orders received by February 28 (just a week from now) will be sent along to Pastor Makazinga. In a separate e-mail message, I will include ordering information and a short excerpt and table of contents from each book. If you would like to send a donation directly to Pastor Makazinga, please e-mail me for his address and instructions. P.S. Thanks for praying for the last shipment of tracts, Christian books and other supplies -- it made it through without pilfering! Yeah!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Two Knowles Teens Head for Bolivia This Summer~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~My oldest two daughters, Mary and Julia, are catching the missions spirit and planning to go to Bolivia for two weeks in June/July with MissionX E-teams from Metro Life Church (www.metrolife.org). Mary will turn 18 on her trip to La Paz with the evangelism team -- a fitting choice since she speaks Spanish after three college courses in it! Julia, who will be 16 this April, is very physically strong and loves hands-on projects. Her team will do construction work way out in Entros Rios. A third team will do medical work somewhere in Bolivia. There will also be teams sent to other countries and US cities. If you would like to sponsor Mary and Julia financially please send me an e-mail, and we'll keep you posted on when and where to send donations. The total cost for each of them will be up to $1500, including shots and passports, so any amount will help!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Saints Bible InstituteSemester in Italy~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~[Virginia's note: Our dear friends Ken and RuthAnn Wells are preparing for long-term missionary service with the Saints Bible Institute. They hope to leave this June. Since they have been living in New York for the past several months raising support, we were so blessed yesterday to have a surprise visit from them! Ken was our pastor at Orlando Grace Church while we were members there a few years back. They are a veteran home school family with six great kids. You can e-mail the Wells family at [email protected]]Saints Bible Institute in San Lorenzo, Italy, is a semester-long life-immersion experience for Christian students. Warren and Yukari Griffith founded MTJ in 1993, and ten years ago our family hosted an MTJ student for two weeks. This March, 14 Japanese students will attend the homestay program. During spring break (March 14-19) they will be visiting Daytona Beach. Warren is looking for 14 mature American Christian college students to come along for the fun and ministry. The cost per student is $220, and some scholarships are available. (Warren happily accepts scholarship donations, too!)For more information, you can e-mail Warren at [email protected], visit the web site at www.MissionToJapan.org or call 407-273-4454.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~National Christian Choir PresentsHeart of a Child ConcertSaturday, February 26, in Orlando Area~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have your kids ever heard a HUGE choir sing? If you live in Central Florida, here's your chance. The National Christian Choir (http://www.nationalchristianchoir.org/) will present "Heart of a Child" -- a FREE musical concert of hope and inspiration -- at Calvary Assembly of God in Winter Park this coming Saturday, February 26. (Tickets are not required.) They will sing at Calvary's service on Sunday morning, and at EPCOT (a Disney theme park) on Sunday evening. The NCC is dear to my heart, since my mother, Mary Quarrier, has sung with them for over a decade, and she'll get to visit us for a few days while she is in town! (This 200 voice choir is based in Gaithersburg, Maryland.) Saturday's concert is sponsored by the Adventist Health System / Florida Hospital. You can find more information on this concert at www.AHSconcert.com.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Worldview Seminar in Orlando

How do you make sense of the crazy world that we live in? What does it mean to be "in the world but not of it"? As Christians we are called to be salt & light in a world without truth. Most teens do not have any idea what they believe or why. Not only that, but they also have no idea why other people believe what they believe. Summit exists to train students to actively engage the culture by equipping them to analyze and articulate the dominant ideas shaping our world through the
lens of a Christian worldview.1:00 -- 2:30 John Stonestreet, Director of Summit, The Importance of Thinking Worldviewishly
