Eyes of Elisa

Well, I read this book..it was well written...and very attention
holding...she drifted onto a long trial in the middle of hte book that didn't
really belong, imvho..but was fascinating...and so well written....

Do you hear the 'but' coming?

She had one scene in tehre...where a woman dies...it was the most awfully
graphic...I felt ill...and cried and have been depressed for three days over
it.

SPoiler...so don't read further it..yada..yada

The woman is vicisously pounded to death by a man and then the next scene the
woman finds the body and a coyote has eaten part of her...and she describes
it...and it's really absolutely gross...it's mentioned TWICE in the book...

That scene in my head is going to haunt me for a long time. I mentioned it
to Brandilyn nad asked her if she'd had any complaints on it...

It absolutely tore me to pieces...I laid in bed and just cried last night.

I Love Dee's books because they're suspenseful without the graphic...and
Brandilyn's was suspenseful, but it wasn't a 'happy ever after'
feeling...more of just an ending.

For instance...only one minor character got saved...the husband never did,
the other guy never did and the third person never did that was mentioned...

She screwed up the Vision God gave her which ruined a man's life....and
explained it away as...we make mistakes...What God told me was right but what
*I* said was wrong...and that just made me feel sad beause here was a life
totally destroyed by what she'd done.

It really REALLY depressed me...which is so unusual for a book...

But, like I said, it was very well written...if you like Mary Higgins Clark
or such, you'd probably LOVE this book. I am going to suggest my husband
read it. He's nowhere NEAR as SENSITIVE as I am.

I am just plain sensitive about everything...including books! sigh!

Anyway...so...has anyone else read this book and how did they react? I'd
LOVE to hear someone who has read it!

and please, do NOT forward this to Brandilyn if you know her. She's a dear
and I wouldn't want to hurt her with a post like this. She knows I
questioned the coyote scene....which is enough.
