Are [NSApplication sharedApplication]; or NSApplicationLoad();

alternatives methods of building the application object to call Cocoa from Carbon?

I don’t see anything in the openURL: doc to indicate it needs the sharedWorkspace approach. Would you elaborate a little about the reason for using NSWorkspace sharedWorkspace versus the other options mentioned above?
