If Christ is, to us, only our substitute to admire and not also our example to follow, we will not rouse ourselves to do hard things in obedience to Him. That will be spiritually deadening in the long run. If Christ is, to us, only our example to follow and not first our substitute to admire, we will not lean on Him as our savior and be freed from ourselves. That too is spiritually deadening in the long run. We can get it wrong and still thrive for a while. But in the long run, only a well-proportioned theology can keep us spiritually alive.

female guitar players

I was on my way to work this morning (I have to work every other Sunday), and
I was listening to Duane Allman absolutely set his guitar on fire. This got
me to thinking, Duane's guitar playing I think is distinctly masculine. I
think it would be obvious from listening to it that it was a man playing. But
then I got to wondering who the great *female* guitar players are. Off-hand
the two that came to my mind were Bonnie Raitt and Nancy Wilson (of Heart).
As far as Christian artists are concerned the only one that I could think of
was Angelina McKeithern (have any of you heard of her?). So, I ask the group,
who are your favorite female guitar players (and why)?
